Dip the hair brush into the hair color. Grab a hair, start from the root, brush it on the dye until you reach the end of the hair. Repeat all the parts you want to dye. Check your work with hand mirrors.
If you are making stripes or highlights, use aluminum foil. Tear off the aluminum foil that is wider than the part you want to dye. Place any hair on the lock, make it out of the direction, and pull the hair away from the head into a 90 degree angle. Place the chaff on it and put the hair back in place. Brush the hair on the hair dye, then fold the foil, fold it halfway, and then close the sides with a small fold. Repeat if necessary. Start the stripes or highlights on your head and then go down.
